When home life becomes a little more challenging and you need assistance from an experienced and trained professional, our nursing assistants are able to help. Most nursing assistants work with people who need more care than family or friends can provide.

While offering all of the benefits of our companion services, our nursing assistants are trained to provide more complex care assistance, as well as help with more advanced needs arising from chronic illness, disability or cognitive impairment.

All nursing assistants are supervised by a Vitalis Health & Home Care Registered Nurse Coordinator who follow an agreed care plan (developed in collaboration with the client’s GP and/or specialist doctors if required). Our nursing assistants are trained to detect and report any changes in condition to their Registered Nurse Coordinator to ensure care levels remain appropriate.

Our nursing assistants also provide extra care for people living in nursing homes. Nursing homes often welcome our companions and nursing assistants to provide additional care and companionship for their residents.
